Washington State does not recognize a claim for negligent construction, so all of your legal rights flow from the documentation from the purchase of your home.
Purchase and sale agreement and all addendums
All communications with developer or contractor (letters, forms, emails, texts, etc)
Warranty of Completion of Construction: the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development makes many developers and owners sign a warranty of completion of construction (an example can be provided upon request)
Residential Warranty Company documents or other warranty documents outlining warranties of construction for certain parts of the home
Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions (CCRs): the CCRs dictate what each homeowner can do concerning their homes and the project
Maintenance manuals or guidelines
Marketing materials: this request includes all documentation, including marketing and advertising materials, direct mailers, brochures, flyers, door hangers, postcards, graphics, website content, digital media, or apps used to sell the homes
